1 dried Grenadian (Trinitario) cocoa pods, shipped directly from our cocoa farm in Grenada. As the pod is dried, it will have no colour except the typically shades of brown (as shown)
On the farm, cocoa pods are harvested and opened, and the seeds are gathered into boxes with their pulp to begin the wild fermentation process that is the start of great chocolate.
These pods are dried naturally in the Grenadian sun until they are hard as wood, and they will last indefinitely if kept dry.
As these are naturally grown the weight, sizes and shades of brown of each pods will differ. The pods weigh approximately 125 to about 200 grams and the length varies from approximately 6″ to as large as 10″.
Note: This dried cocoa pod cannot be used to make chocolate, and it’s not safe to consume the seeds inside.
